GCDGA CHAMPIONSHIPS

We are happy to announce that a junior on the Gold Coast playing from Emeral Lakes Golf Club was a runnaway winner in t his years Open Championship played at Southport Golf Club shooting 66.

Hyunsick Kong aged 14 years of age was able to out play some very good seasoned players on his way. This was an excellent effort by Hyunsick as the Southport course was not easy but he made it look easy.

Our colts winner was the ever reliable and impressive Luke Marino from Surfers Paradise who had a round of 68. Again Luke showed great form following his good performance in the Interassociation team event at Nudgee Golf Club.

In our Seniors Championship our ever-green veteran Lenny Korn [Cool/Tweed] proved for the third year in a row that he was no doubt our best Senior player going around at the moment with a great 74 to just edge out Gerald Arthurs who had 79, great effort Lenny.
